Since my '96 Z28 came from the factory with an Manual 6 speed, it did not come with a radiator that had the cooler provision like the Automatic versions of the LT1's came with. So, I had to purchase an auxiliary cooler. Here are some pictures of the cooler and it's installed location.
This long plastic strip is a kind of modified zip tie and is used to push thru both the cooler and the stock radiator to secure the cooler to the radiator.

Here's the cooler installed. You're looking up under the nose of the car on the front side of the radiator. I put it on the drivers side. No rational here other than I wanted it there. I suppose you can put it anywhere you want and have a successful install.
